Don’t ever let anyone tell you pipelines are safe.
This is a list of Pipeline accidents in the United States. Printed out in 10 point Ariel it comes to 55 pages of accidents. I put it in the PDF form below for effect.

Back burner of global warming
Everyone
puts out of their minds the fact that several nations have weapons of mutual
annihilation aimed at each other and at ready for immediate use.
Global
warming is on its inexorable march; a march that if not modified will not destroy life on earth
but which could make life on earth for humans impossible.
Our
military knows that global warming is an extreme national security threat. A
major war caused by the effects of global warming seems inevitable.
What
everyone appears to put out of their minds is that a sure fire end to global
warming is "nuclear winter". I guess that's why they call it
"unthinkable".

Some Urban Stormwater Solutions
A stormwater retention basin under a parking area was recently proposed for the Marriot Hotel in Coatesville.
There is a stormwater infiltration basin under the “Main Street at Exton” mall and Wal-Mart parking lot.
Villanova University also has a parking garage with a stormwater retention basin under it. You can see it from the railroad.
We have intuitions and corporations in Chester County involved with state of the art stormwater management.

Millions of dollars is still millions of dollars even if it does smell of batshit.
There was an article in the Washington Post:
Climate-change science makes for hot politics
By Joel Achenbach and Juliet Eilperin, Published: August 19
There were further comments on the article and the topic on Climate Progress:
Washington Post Labels Global Warming a ‘Wedge Issue’ — But Doesn’t Seem to Know What That Term Means
By Joe Romm on Aug 20, 2011 at 12:50 pm
Neither article asks why the Republicans suddenly switched from climate science to batshit crazy climate science denial. I think the primary reason for the sudden (in just 4 years) switch is the infusion of millions of dollars from totally batshit crazy billionaires like the Koch Brothers into the GOP campaign coffers.

Our Fracking Gashole Governor is a dirty energy warrior
“This is a last ditch effort by dirty energy to eliminate green energy by flooding the energy market with cheap gas.” Mark Ruffalo
"Quietly but systematically, the administration has all but shut down the state Department of Environmental Protection's Office of Energy and Technology Deployment -- the state's primary energy office -- and removed directors and reassigned staff in the Office of Energy Management in the Department of General Services and the Governor's Green Government Council.
It has also forbidden state executive agencies from signing contracts that suThe changes will put more than 100,000 "green jobs" in the renewable energy and energy efficiency industries at risk, according to Citizens for Pennsylvania's Future -- PennFuture - "

Easy way to “cool” the USA (just change the numbers)
It was difficult to find information about “New Normals”. I suppose that’s because our nation’s news is slanted toward climate change denial. Maybe if Rupert Murdoch goes to prison that will all change but until then we can expect to not hear the words “global warming” in a weather forecast.
You can find information about “New Normals” here:
Updated Statistics Show the “Normal” US Climate is Getting Warmer

To make his unemployment numbers look less bad Ronald Reagan changed the way unemployment is calculated. Someone working 30 hours a month at McDonalds is now fully employed. If someone gives up looking for a job he or she is no longer unemployed. Like magic, unemployment numbers went down.
There is a simple way for Republicans to confuse the hell out of people saying it’s too darn hot; just change from Fahrenheit to Celsius.
115 degrees Fahrenheit magically becomes only 46 degrees Celsius. Instant cooling.
