THE FRACKING COMPANIES ARE POISONING OUR DRINKING WATER and GOVERNOR CORBETT IS FINE WITH THAT

t won't be long until tracking chemicals begin to show up in Philadelphia's water. They can't be filtered out.

Pittsburgh's public drinking supply had been shut down by fracking companies dumping fracking chemicals directly into the Monongahela River.

There telling me (the fracking companies) the sky's pink. And the sky is pink in Harrisburg.  Pittsburgh Councilman Doug Shields District 5

Cement casings fail and gas leaks into groundwater.

Well casings fail in 6% of wells immediately. Over a 30 year period 50% of well casings fail. -"Oil Feild Review" 2003. Dusseault, Grey
Gas well casings need to last forever.

Cement failure caused the Deepwater Horizon gas explosion.

The gas companies don't want you to know that Tom Ridge was paid $900,000.00 to serve as chief spokesperson for the Marcellus Shale Coalition.

Governor Tom Corbett was given $1.6 Million in campaign contributions by the gas industry.

Should humans be listed on the Endangered Species Act?

Without the Endangered Species Act Bald Eagles would be gone.

"Based on estimates of extinction risk, 262 U.S. species would probably have gone extinct between 1973 and 2003 had the act not been passed."

"The polar bear is the first species to be officially acknowledged as being threatened by global warming. Humans, too, will be a cost for a melting world. By protecting polar bears, and reducing emissions, we could avoid impacts such as hurricane damage, real estate losses, energy costs, and escalating water costs--a projected price tag of almost $1.9 trillion annually by 2100 in the US alone."

Right now we're doing next to nothing to prevent the earth from becoming too hot for human existence. Some species will continue to exist without humans on earth. There may be a tipping point where no matter what we do the earth will be too hot for human existence.

The Endangered Species Act works. How about listing humans on the Endangered Species Act?

Classroom work is only a prelude to the real world. They may forget most of the american history or english classes in high school. For me this is real education. Education you never forget.

Tiger Mosquitos in Coatesville. PA

Aedes Albopictus

One of these girls landed on my hand. I was in my back yard in Coatesville. They bite in the daytime. If  you see one check around your home for any little thing that will hold water. They prefer things like lids and cans with water in them. They shy away from larger pools of water because their larvae have no competition in a soda can. Unlike some other mosquitoes they fly less than 200 meters.

The article below states  that they are a vector for West Nile Virus. My neighbor who worked for the EPA checking for West Nile said they are not as big of a West Nile Virus threat than some other mosquitoes.
